Accuracy International introduced the
AE in 2001 at the request of the law
enforcement community. Following
seven years of stellar service, with
specialist police sniper input, the
evolution continues... From the same DNA as the legendary AW. After seven years of service they updated the AE and created the AE MkII. The AE MkII features a full length aluminum chassis system totally unaffected by climate changes. Any fixed object can act as a rest without transfering unwanted forces to the action. The chassis also features molded stock sides. The AE comes with a heavy match grade free-floating barrel which located into the action with a 1 threaded spigot- a rigid assembly for maximun accuracy. Featuring a 2 stage trigger, 3 position safety and proof tested barrel, the AW offers dependable accuracy that professionals can rely on. All critical parts are designed for field cleaning without tools. New enhancements also include a 20 inch barrel with optional standard muzzle brake, standard adjustable cheekpiece and a optional folding chassis. Effective Range 660yds
Accuracy International was started in 1978 by a group of national and international target shooters, one of which was a two time Olympic Gold Medalist. Designed by shooters, for shooters. The original design's ethos combined two factors into a unique package: namely the incorporation of performance enhancing features learned in Olympic and international target shooting onto a rifle platform exhibiting full militarty ruggedness. The current designs are faithful to the orginal concept but also benefit from thirty years of continuous improvement. These advances are not cosmetic but are driven by the needs of users, highly trained military and police units in over 60 countries world-wide. On a daily basis such units are exposed to "live" tactical situations in the most demanding environments where first shot accuracy is critical. All componets are manufactured to Accuracy Internaional designs to ensure that they must perform, something that cannot be achieved with a ruggedished sporting weapon.

1. Barrel (optional):
The match grade, free floating barrel is screwed into the action through the heavy duty recoil lug. This provides a rigid mount and results in consistent cold shot performance. A barrel can be changed in less than ten minutes using the barrel change kit.
2. Action:
The AE MkII features a round machined wrought steel action, with a Picatinny rail screwed onto the action.
3. Full Length Aluminium Chassis:
The stiffness of the chassis means that any available surface can be used to support the rifle with no effect on accuracy. Its construction means that it is impervious to weather.
4. Folding Chassis (optional):
When folded, the overall length is reduced by 8ins (210mm). Ideal for rapid deployment from a vehicle, the stock locks in the folded position for security and to avoid noise. Released by simply pulling on the butt, the wear compensated hinge ensures total rigidity in the extended position. This option adds 0.4lb (0.2kg) to the weight.

5. Butt Pad:
Each rifle is fitted with a fixed bolt-on pad together with 0.4” (10mm) and a 0.8” (20mm) spacer. Additional spacers are available to customize the length of pull.
6. Picatinny Rail:
This option is screwed on to the action by 4 screws providing a standard interface for many optical systems.
7. Trigger Assembly:
The rifle is fitted with a two-stage trigger, which allows a large sear engagement to be maintained until the user takes up the first stage. This reduces the chance of an accidental discharge if the rifle is jolted when cocked. The trigger is adjustable for pull weights of 3.3-4.4lb (1.5-2.0kg). The trigger assembly can be easily removed for cleaning by undoing two screws.
8. Safety Mechanism:
The two position safety blocks the firing pin when to the rear, and allows the weapon to fire in the forward position.
9. Stocksides:
Designed to provide a secure grip and a repeatable shooting position in all conditions, the aluminium chassis is encased in polymer stocksides with an adjustable cheekpiece. With sights at normal height, this provides a solid position for the user’s cheek. Stocksides are impervious to all normal cleaners and lubricants used in small arms maintenance and are available in black, green or dark earth.
10. Adjustable Cheekpiece:
The standard adjustable cheekpiece adjusts left/right as well as for height to obtain optimum cheek position when using night vision equipment or telescopic sights with large objective lenses.

11. Bolt:
The 0.75” (20mm) diameter steel close fitting bolt combined with vents and a gas shroud minimises blowback in the event of cartridge failure. The integral short throw bolt handle (60°) with large bolt knob, lies close to the stockside just above the trigger to minimise movement of the user’s hand. The bolt can be field stripped without tools for cleaning.
12. Sling Fixing Points:
Four sling attachment points are fitted as standard. Two are mounted on each side of the weapon, so the rifle can be carried flat against the back for security and comfort over rough terrain and long distances.
13. Bipod Adapters:
The chassis has integral fixing points for bipods to suit both Accuracy International and Harris™ designs.
14. Magazine:
One flush fitting, five shot detachable steel magazine is included. This industry-leading design is corrosion resistant and low friction for reliable feeding. An optional ten shot magazine is also available.
Effective Range: 660yds
