Product Description

Barrett Rifles & Accessories are available for special order - we are a Barrett High Caliber Authorized Dealer. Please call or e-mail us for availability and lead times.

The Barrett Model 82A1 .50 BMG rifle system is a semi-action rifle system with a 29" barrel. Included is a pelican case, one 10-round magazine, carry handle, flip-up iron sights, M1913 optics rail, detachable adjustable bipod legs, monopod and owner's manual. Scope not included on this model.

Perfection is not accomplished overnight. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the Model 82A1. For more than two decades, this short-recoil, semi-automatic series rifle has been carefully honed, studied and then refined again. The result is a feat of engineering so impossibly precise, it’s hard to believe it’s man-made.

Unlike other semi-automatic .50 BMG rifles, the Model 82A1 is completely reliable. Its chamber is chrome-plated and dimensioned for both civilian and military ammunition. The extractor and ejector are proven to work under any condition, and close tolerances on every part allow it to function in all environments.

The new .416 caliber alternative further adds to the allure of the Model 82A1. With enhanced accuracy and stability, not to mention a significantly higher muzzle velocity, the .416 offers incredible long-range precision.

Its re-engineered muzzle brake, dual barrel springs and long mainspring design make the 82A1 comfortable and — dare we say — exciting to shoot.

The Model 82A1 fits into a regular sized carrying case. Although it’s transported as a disassembled upper and lower receiver, it can be ready to fire in under a minute by simply inserting two assembly pins through both receivers. The scope remains mounted on the upper receiver, maintaining scope zero. The rifle’s M1913 optics rail is tapered 27 MOA to take full advantage of the scopes elevation travel.

Emergency iron sights provided. Nerves of steel are not!

The Barrett M 82A1 is an awesome rifle. The workmanship is superb and the weapon functions flawlessly. Between my son and I we fired 30 rounds through it at targets 300 yards away. The recoil was not bad. A 30.06 bolt action has a harder recoil to the shoulder than the M 82A1. The recoil of the M 82A1 pushes you and that is why we were able to enjoy shooting this rifle.
