Thirty years later, this Thunder .22 LR is a carbon copy of my first semi-automatic pistol, a Bersa 383 .380 ACP... black-on-black, all-steel, reliably-functioning and target-nailing round after round. Many thanks to Brett & his colleagues for stocking this hard-to-find gun, pricing it fairly, and then shipping it so promptly and securely.

I have to rate this one a 2 out of 5. For the first 100 rounds or so, it is very unreliable. It definitely has a big break in period. While I got it for a good price, my Hi-Point .380 is simpler, more accurate, more reliable, and more powerful.
Even though its reliability problems have gone away, it is still woefully inaccurate. Even at just 5 yards, it shoots an 8" group plus. I suppose that's alright for a CCW pistol, but isn't much fun for target shooting and plinking.
It is also very overcomplicated, with 2 separate safeties, BOTH OF WHICH ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO OPERATE ONE HANDED! A huge minus for a CCW pistol.
Sad to say, I would not recommend this gun, or any similar Bersa due to the non user friendly safeties, to anyone for any purpose.
