Hello,I recently purchased the Pitbull in 9mm. I own and shoot many Smith-Wesson revolvers. The concept of no moon clips needed is a delight. I finally shot her at the gun range this past Wed. I put 50 rounds of Federal 115 grain FMJ-RN. The Pitbull fired flawlessly. All 50 rounds at 10 to 25 feet were at center mass. My trigger finger a little sore,DA and SA were good. All rounds loaded easily with a very little wiggle now and then to push them forward into the chamber. This 9mm was shot out of the box without any cleaning or oiling. There was some stiffness in the ejector rod as the shells were being pushed out, sometimes like it was stuck, frozen up. I just had to push harder and it worked. I brought it home, cleaned her up, and oiled the heck out of it, especially the ejector rod. I probably worked the ejector rod about 50 time with lots of gun oil and it works fine now. I am very impressed with this little gem. It just needs to be broken in a little. Don't hesitate, buy one. I'm equally impressed with Hinterland Outfitters. Their price was the very best, and their communication was excellent. Super fast delivery to my FFL whom they had a copy of his info on file. I wish all my transactions were as smooth as this one. Thank You Hinterland.

The Pitbull was my first revolver. (I had always been a semi auto guy). The biggest thing to get used to was the trigger pull which is substantial. I found that wearing a glove drastically reduced the wear on my trigger finger. I'm quite pleased with the accuracy within 10 yards. The loading and spent cartridge removal also take a little getting used to, sometimes the ejector tang slips by the brass and you have to fiddle with it to get the brass out. I also found it wasn't as forgiving as my semi autos are of my reloads. Again,a little more attention to detail has helped out here. So my first impression was, 'What did I buy?' However after getting some experience with the gun I'm now quite happy with it. It fits my hand very nicely and it fun to shoot.

Did shoot low but I was shooting Frangible ammo, which shoots low. Shot 100 rounds at 30 yards at steel targets with Frangible ammo right out of box hit about 50% of the time missed first 5 shots. The Pitbull was everything I thought it would be. I didn't have any loading problems with the Federal Frangible Ammo. Ejected very well too no problems.

I've been shooting centerfire pistols for the past 4 years, airguns and rifles most of my life. I'm not a revolver guy. The trigger is ok, single action is very light. The trigger is better on my S&W 1917. The gun shoots low. I have to sight straight across the top of the frame. Using the top of the sight it impacts low. I'm shooting at distances of 15 yards or less. Accuracy is very good. It's hard to load, you will not be reloading this quickly. Case extraction really works!
