Excellent firearm! Great company!
The Milspec components are top notch. Midlength gas system and heavy buffer reduce noticed recoil compared to that of a carbine gas system. Not a single failure to date.

My first AR-WOW!
This thing was excellent right out of the box. I did add some iron sights. I looked and compared for some time before deciding on DDM4, wait and balance, sleek look and feel in hands with function helped me decide-choice was easy.
The fact that Hinterland had it in stock was a major incentive considering difficult to get because of demand. Really odd because I live near where they're made and distributors were out of stock.
Shooting it was demolition time- no jams and on target. The silhouettes and 2 liters did not stand a chance on turkey day in North Ga.
Only thing I would consider is going for gas piston but considering the price, extremely happy with what I have!

What can I say . . . BUT, totally satisfied.
Hinterland Outfitters is the best to work with. They kept you informed of your order until the moment it arrives at the location you had designated for them to send it to.
The agents I spoke with were not only friendly but extremely helpful, in every way you could hope for. I haven't had but one opportunity to fire my rifle since getting it but it was everything I had hoped for and more!
I did a lot of research before making my purchase and I think it paid off. I don't know how you could ask for a better weapon or a better company to work with.
I feel much better now . . . when the Zombies do attack, I've purchased a gun I know I can rely on.

Ordered this beauty on Monday and had it in my hands on Thursday. Hinterland Outfitters was very professional all the way, and I would never hesitate to do business with them in the future.
The gun came to me as advertised. At this point, I'm real satisfied with my new Daniel Defense V5. I've only put three rounds through it, just to see how it felt.
All I can say is "Sweet"! Virtually no recoil. I would have put more rounds through it but I'm waiting to put some flip-up sights on it and then I'm going to give it a real trial run.
From what I can tell, I'm not going to be disappointed.

Everything about this purchase was outstanding! First of all, the gun is unbelievable and I couldn't be happier. I researched for months and Hinterland had the best price by far. Secondly, the communication was great. Immediate feedback and emails throughout the process guiding me through the transfer process. They even let me know once they received my FFL's license and that the gun was shipped. I will definitely do business again with Hinterland! Thanks!

I was kept apprised of the steps of my purchase from payment to shipping. It was shipped on time and arrived in excellent condition.
My shopping experience has been as good as with ANY web retailer.
The rifle, by the way, is all it was expected to be. First class all the way.
