Simply the finest semi-auto pistol ever made in ANY price range. From the novice shooter to daily law enforcement duty use, you can ALWAYS depend on your Glock 17 Gen 3. After you get use to its looks it becomes beautifully sleek and all other pistols begin to look odd.

This is the gun, specifically the model 17, that changed guns, and nearly all competitors have now attempted to copy this pistol("attempted"). Take yours right to the range, do not clean before initial use, Glock puts a special copper based grease to be used during break in, I believe they consider that 2000 rounds or so. Mine shot brilliantly out of the box, no malfunctions, even with cheaper and less potent 115 grain ammo.

Be aware, do not shoot lead through a Glock, the barrel treatment does not agree with lead. The Glock grip is for those with medium to large hands, those with small hands may find the grip even on the 9mm varieties too thick.

However my wife has small hands and had never shot before, she could handle this full-sized pistol easily and had no problems racking back the slide. Most will come to love the Glock's safe action trigger safety and lack of exterior safeties.

In a panic you may wish you had the Glock safety like on this pistol, thumb slide or frame safeties are a wasted effort in my opinion because your finger should always be your safety regardless.

Buy a Glock and you will be a fan for life.
