I had a .22 bolt action, and one night the biggest raccoon I ever saw was tearing up my garbage. So I have my .22 loaded with .22 stingers and aim right at this coon's head. I know I hit it cause the next day there was blood all over the ground. This raccoon just growled at me and waddled away. So I go to Farm King and buy a New England Arms H&R .357 single shot and buy some 158 soft points. The next night here comes the coon, so I aim at the head and hit just above his head. I didn't sight it in, so I lower my aim, and his head blows out his brains all over the yard. It's a good varmint gun at close range. Don't know what it'd do at 100 or 50 yards, but close up it kills real good.
Glad I bought this rifle. Oh and I put on a cheap red dot sight, so maybe with a better scope, who knows what it could hit. Thanks New England and H&R for a nice rifle.
