I have been hunting deer and elk with my 45-70 Handi rifle for about 10 years now. Many animals taken with this rifle. I like this little rifle for the fact it is light and small, making it great for long hikes in our Montana mountains. With a 6 round holder on the rear stock I can reload as fast as a bolt action. At 100 yards it is a tack driver. I love it and would say buy it.

I have had my 45/70 for two years. My first year i kill two deer, I had to put a sleeve on the trigger so i could get to the trigger, keep having problems keeping it on.
This year i changed scopes when zeroing my scope pulling the trigger easy the trigger would hit the bullet but would not fire, i had this happen four times on different bullets.
I was told by a gunsmith that the barrel was cut too deep wear the bullet goes in making it hard for the firing pin to hit hard enough to fire.
