Product Description

Whether you choose one chambered for .22 LR, .22 Magnum, or .17HMR, the Henry Golden Boy is a masterpiece of fine crafted gunsmithing. Any shooting enthusiast who closely examines one is immediately impressed with the excellent fit, finish and overall visually elegant design. The Golden Boy has a 20-inch blued octagonal barrel, American walnut stock, brass buttplate, with a gleaming Brasslite receiver and barrel band. The classic styling will transport you back to the wild and wooley days of America's Old West, when company founder Benjamin Tyler Henry designed the original Henry lever action rifle. Adding to the historic authenticity is the adjustable buckhorn-type rear sight. Small game hunters and plinkers will appreciate its substantial 6.75 lb. heft. It balances well and makes for highly accurate offhand shooting. The smooth action associated with Henry rifles opens and shuts with the effortless slickness, and left-handed shooters can safely use any of Henry's lever action rifles.

This gun is as great a shooter as my .22lr Octagon and my .30-30 GB. Delivery was smooth.

Probably one of the finest Henry's I've ever owned. About to go buy a 2nd for my nephew. Easy to handle with good iron sights. Yes, the front sight can be removed if you want to put on a scope. Who needs it? American made with a lifetime warranty. What could be better?

My brother bought one of these and loves it. Every time I see it I have to smile, due to the nice lines and brass. Shoots great and now I want one.

I bought this gun for plinking and an occasional varmint hunt. When I first got it I felt like it was almost too "pretty" to shoot. The shiny brass makes it stand out. The fit and finish of the gun is excellent. The feel of the lever action is smooth and not too long. There is a good feedback to the shooter when the round is chambered. The trigger feels right. I have shot a variety of ammunition from CCI, Winchester, Hornady and Federal and all chamber, shoot and eject well. I have now shot 500 rounds and had only one Winchester round (40gr Dynapoint) hang up, and it was some cheaper ammo I was trying to get rid of. My only complaint is that you cannot mount a scope directly to the receiver. The rear site has to be removed from the barrel and a cantilever scope mount is attached. You then attach the scope to the cantilever mount. This is available from Henry on their website for $27.50 plus shipping. I also wish it had sling swivels already on the gun (like Marlin rifles) as I am reluctant to drill holes into the stock. Overall I am very pleased with the rifle and have no regrets for purchasing it. It has been reliable and everything I wanted.
