Made as a premier Boning and Capping Knife, the Jaeger is just shy of 1/8" thick (.118"). The blades, treated with cryogenic (deep freeze) and double tempering process and at a rockwell hardness of 58-60, will hold an incredible edge. The non-slip ridges on the back of the blade will give you comfortable platform on which to place either your forefinger or thumb while using the knife. The blade is full tang and double riveted, with a brass lanyard sleeve so the handle scales are securely fastened to the blade. The "Muskrat Skinning has a rounded point, sharpened to a razor edge completely around the back, has already proven itself to hunters as a tremendously effective skinning and fleshing knife. Includes a cowhide vegetable tanned holster secures both knives and supplied with a diamond sharpening steel (fine and medium grit) fitted into holster.
