LWRC rifles and carbines utilize cold hammer forged barrels made of 41V45 steel alloy (per Mil-B-11995E) and treated with NiCorr surface conversion technology. The M6A1 features the LWRC patented self-regulating short-stroke gas-piston system. Using this system, LWRC has engineered a complete solution to the deficits found in direct impingement M16/AR15/M4 family of rifles and carbines. This translates into rifles that are far more reliable and accurate with improved handling and reduced recoil.
The M6A2 rifle is a standard carbine available in various barrel lengths and in either 5.56mm NATO or 6.8mm SPC. The M6A2 rifle is ideal for those who utilize optical sights as it employs a low- profile gas block. There is no A-frame front sight to obscure the field of view of the optical device. The M6A2 rifle also features a longer midlength free float rail system with a removable return-to-zero top. Any M4 MIL Std 1913 accessory can be mounted to the rail, and because the rail has a monolithic profile, you can bridge devices from the receiver to the rail seamlessly. The longer rail also affords more 1913 “real estate” to mount your accessories.
The M6A2 rifle can be used in various roles. With the 10.5 inch barrel, it is ideal for close quarters battle or fighting in built up areas. The 14.7 inch barrel M6A2 rifle is an excellent general purpose carbine capable of effective fire out to 600 meters. And with the 16.1 inch barrel, the M6A2 rifle can be used as a Squad Dedicated Marksman Rifle.
The M6A2 rifle's edge in capability, reliability, accuracy and long service life is the result of advance technology materials and manufacturing processes, combines with progressive patented designs. The M6A2 rifle defines itself as the most modern and incrementally evolved carbine in the world. At the same time it also presents the best value. Service life is extended to four times that of a legacy M4, accuracy is 100 percent better, and there M6 rifles are many times more reliable than the legacy gas-impingement design.

I strongly recommend NOT purchasing this product for two reasons: 1) the rifle came from the factory with so much play between upper and lower receiver that you can literally rock one inside the other. This apparently is commonplace with LWRC rifles. This will segue right into reason number 2) LWRC has little to no skills in good customer service. I had to initiate contact with them, once i sent it to their factory, to see what was wrong and was not taken seriously at all. My concerns were never addressed as they replaced the lower and sent me back the same substandard rifle I received from Hinterland. On the contrary I received a POF rifle also with the same purchase and the two rifles are worlds apart. I then called POF to let them know I was beyond pleased with their product and they sent me a box of goodies to include a pretty sweet tshirt and cool stickers! That's how it's done, no play, sturdy rifle, and GREAT customer service. LWRC should stop peddling the "premium" description of their products. Now I'm stuck with a rifle I don't want and can't return.

Beautiful, extremely well made, and the attention to detail stands out. The finish is excellent, the components all fit perfectly, and the construction should make this rifle last for a long time. When I picked this up at my local dealer, we broke it down to look at the components and they remarked how well made it is.
Compared this rifle to another manufacturer, and while they are close in weight, this rifle feels better balanced, easy to hold, and not front heavy.

Now I understand why people pay more for higher end rifles and I should've done it long ago! It puts my other mid-level AR to shame from the first time I took it out of the box. Boy is this thing a beauty! The fit and finish is top notch, smooth trigger, 2" groups with Trijicon ACOG (I rarely get out to shoot long range rifles as its not local for me). No regrets with this purchase and am kicking myself for not getting it sooner! I'm a huge fan of LWRC! REPR is next in line!

I just received my new M6A2 in 5.56 NATO, and am very satisfied with this superior product. Out of the box the workmanship immediately stands out as very good quality.
Loaded it up with Lake City 62 grain M855 green tips, and put it to the test. At 100 yards using the iron sights as it came out of he box took nine shots to bring the group to center. The groups were in the 4" range off the bench with the iron sights only.
Cleaning, what cleaning the piston operating system performed flawlessly, and I only had a little cleaning to the bore and feed ramp. the rest of the operating system needed no cleaning at all.
I cannot wait to get my new sighting system and give at a good run. All in all this is a very good rifle, and would recommend it to anyone seeking a new AR.
