Five shot tubular magazine. Lever action with side ejection and hammer block safety. Adjustable semi buckhorn folding rear sight and ramp front sight with brass bead and Wide Scan hood. Solid top receiver drilled and tapped for scope mount. Offset hammer spur, right or left hand, for scope use.

This gun was a huge disappointment. For those of you who've done any research, Marlin 338 MX rifles with serial numbers beginning with the digits 91 have often proven to be defective: the barrel is badly misaligned with the receiver. Mine is such a rifle. It has been sent back to the factory under warranty.
