The POF-USA model P308 regulated gas piston recon rifle, 308 winchester with a 16.5 in heavy contour fluted barrel. The P308 has a modular railed receiver, collapsible stock and a A3 flattop upper receiver. Rifles come in a choice of two finishes: NP3 coated and black anodized. POF specializes in the manufacturing of custom gas piston AR's dedicated to the precision, quality and reliability of the weapons they develop. These are custom rifles and built to order.

4150 Mil-B-1159F Vanadium Alloy (machinegun rated)
70 Rockwell case hardened heat treated "5R" polygonal barrels are 2X harder then Mil-Spec & Hammer Forged barrels

This rifle is unbelievably accurate! It is well worth the money and the build time wait period.

My first time shooting it I was able to hit a 600 meter target consistently with crappy iron-sights (Magpul) that were not even zeroed properly and crappy ammo. It has fired every round without flaw. I have since purchased the Troy Micro BattleSights and plan to push this rifle to the limits to see how far I can shoot without optics.

I will never want to shoot another AR unless its stamped with POF! I highly recommend this brand.

Cons:
I live in California and I have to have a bullet button. Oh wait that has nothing to do with the rifle.

The only complaint I have is they switched from the VLTOR stock shown and gone with the low end Magpul MOE stock. I understand if POF wants to match the stock with a Magpul grip but for the price of the rifle they could put a decent stock on it. All in all its really not a big deal and i love the gun!

This has been the best AR style rifle I have ever owned. It feels so much better put together than other AR rifles I own and it performs flawlessly time and time again.

Got the 16.5 308 and mated it with the Valdada Spartan 308 BDC from 100 yards to 850 using a 168 grain match bullet. The rifle shoots great and once zeroed you can poke holes on a quarter at 100 yards with your 1rst shot. Not that I would do that since defacing US currency is a no no.

There was wait period being that is somewhat of a custom built rifle but once you get it, the details that was put in to make this machine is top notch. the fluted barrel the precision machined muzzle brake to the laser etched piston rod that racks the blot. I'm glad I made a POF 308 choice for sure.
