The POF-USA model P308 regulated gas piston recon rifle, 308 winchester with a 14.5 in heavy contour fluted barrel. The P308 has a modular railed receiver, collapsible stock and a A3 flattop upper receiver. Rifles come in a choice of two finishes: NP3 coated and black anodized. POF specializes in the manufacturing of custom gas piston AR's dedicated to the precision, quality and reliability of the weapons they develop. These are custom rifles and built to order.

4150 Mil-B-1159F Vanadium Alloy (machinegun rated)
70 Rockwell case hardened heat treated "5R" polygonal barrels are 2X harder then Mil-Spec & Hammer Forged barrels
Corrosion resistant and 10 times thicker and hardness than mil-spec chromed lining

WOW! What a gun.

The specs are so tight on the POF that when I went to shoot it the first time I tried to drop the loading mechanism and the bullet would not seal and, of course, would not fire.

I thought there was something wrong with the gun and a friend that had purchased a 308 POF asked me to completely pull back the loading mechanism and lock it back and then release it mechanically rather than by hand. I ended up running a full clip through it manually and it loosened up enough to start loading properly.

I took it back to the range and man, did I have fun!! I set the scope up with 20 rouds and then took a new target and hit the bullseye every time. I am impressed and the kick was minimal. Wish I was rich, I would buy several!!

Fantastic firearm, so much do in fact that Brett had managed to sell me two of them. They have made many changes in relative short order. .308 in an AR platform is hard to beat.

That they are compatible with LR-20 mags is genius. With a 20 inc bbl this is damn near a one-hole gun. It favors match ammo but will make do with Wolf. I put a Geissele Super Dynamic 3-gun in my 14.5, great upgrade.
