Product Description

The Sig 556 features the same high performance two position adjustable gas piston operating rod system engineered by Sigs sister company Swiss Arms and marries it to a trigger housing that not only cuts the rifles weight by a pound but is designed to accept standard AR magazines. The Picatinny rail equipped receiver is made of high strength carbon steel with a durable wear resistant Nitron X rifle finish. The rifle comes equipped with a smooth two stage trigger. A 30 round magazine is supplied with each rifle.

I purchased this rifle from Hinterland and am definitely impressed. This is the second Sig 556 I have purchased and it works perfectly. I have put 140+ rounds through it with exceptional groupings and no jams or issues of any kind. The order comes very quickly (faster than advertised) once all of the FFL work is done.

If you are looking at this design or the Sig with the 'Fish Gill' front, go with this one. It is lighter and the thinner front makes handling it easier. Overall I find this gun is a great marriage of the AR-15 (mags and rounds) and AK (gas piston) designs. If you are looking for a reasonably priced gun...you cannot go wrong with this Sig.

The rotor diopter sight is awesome. But be warned the three picatinny rails on the front barrel of the picture do not come with the gun. You can find them for around $30 on most websites.
