Great pistol, very well made and very solid. The only thing about this pistol is that it cannot use +P 45 acp ammunition but it's a 45 caliber which is a large caliber to begin with so it's no big deal. It's a great deal for the price and quality. The shipping was also very fast - thank you Hinterland Outfitters. I look forward to doing business with you again.

Giving it four stars only because I haven’t had it long enough to comment on long-term reliability; but in every other way, this is a 5-star pistol: fit and finish approach that of my beloved Sigs. As others have noted, the rear sights were a bit off out-of-the-box, but the sight adjustments (tactile clicks when you turn the screws for windage or elevation) were simple and easy. After two 5-round groups, with a slight adjustment for both windage and elevation, the pistol’s point-of-impact matches point-of-aim exactly. After that, just had a blast making big holes out of the first round’s hole!!
Smooth action, soft-shooting and accurate as can be. Because I wanted it for my home gun, I fired some hollow points (Winchester PDX1 230-grain), and they, too, were dead on-target. Only 120 rounds fired total (20 JHPs), but I love everything about this pistol: the grip is incredible (reminds me of the first time I picked up a CZ...it feels like it was molded from my hand), the sights are easy to pick up and the recoil is very soft for a .45. You simply hit what you aim at. At half the cost of my Sigs, this is a pistol I can highly recommend. In fact, I’m probably going to buy another! Excellent value, excellent pistol.

I have the SAR K2 pistol in 45 acp. I am a big fan of CZ style of pistols which means that the pistol barrel is lower in the frame than most other semi autos. The K2 is a real joy to shoot even though you are shooting a large powerful bullet. With the barrel lower in your hand when you pull the trigger the barrel doesn't try to jump up in your hand but pushes back on your hand and you have much more control of the pistol for accurate shooting. When I can take a 45 acp pistol and shoot golf balls at thirty to forty five feet away and hit them with almost every shot, I call that an accurate pistol. I shoot two handed most of the time and without any kind of rest - just stand and shoot. I have had no malfunction with any bullets I shoot. The pistol is easy to clean after a day of shooting but sometimes I go much longer before cleaning the gun. The magazine holds 14 rounds of 45 acp and that is a lot of fire power. The K2 may be new to you but the manufacturer is one of the oldest in the world and builds a quality product. I have several pitols that cost much more than the K2 but when it comes to joy of shooting, accuracy, cleanup, and price the K2 can't be beat. I love that pistol. Buy it and go shoot some sticks or golf balls. When you can hit them you can certainly hit larger targets. Great price on these guns. Much less than mine early last year.

This gun is the best kept secret there is and I have 5 of them. It is the only both double and single action, large capacity 45 ACP there is, 14 + 1.
It has a very soft smooth double action trigger pull and the single action is very light for a stock gun, about 4 to 5 pounds. It is very accurate and this is a copy of the famous Witness hand gun with allot of other good features added on top of that.
The pistol grip is very small for a 14 rounds magazine of 45 ACP. It is a very solid strong all steel gun, 40 ounces. Because of its weight, it is a very pleasant 45 ACP gun to shoot. Recoil is light.
Everything that I ever owned that was plastic, always broke on me. So I would never consider a Glock. Call it what you want, but plastic is plastic.
This is not a gun that you would want to carry because it is large and is 40 ounces, but as a defensive gun at home with 15 rounds of 45 ACP, nothing could be better.
It is also a plus at the shooting range because of the very light recoil. I never had a jam with any of these guns, so I give it a 5* for reliability.
I am a capacity man, so 15 rounds of 45 ACP is for me.
