I started swinging a machette at about 5 years old. I love the work they can do and how simple they are....that is, if you're skilled.

If not, take your time to understand the dynamics of the swing and cut, and build strength to hang on to it, with finesse.

This Ontario machette is the best there is. Marines use this blade because it works to complete the job at hand. I have hiked a couple thousand miles and would never go without this tool. Also look for the heavy plastic sheath with built in sharpener.

Love it.
