Product Description

To meet the demands of American upland gunners, CZ has crafted a selection of side-by-side game guns unsurpassed in elegant grace and specifically designed for flushing birds. Each gun in the line is built on frames proportionate to their specific gauge.

Unlike other manufacturers that mount 28 ga. barrels on a 20 ga. frame and call it good enough, CZ’s Bobwhite and Ringneck 28 ga. quail-guns are built on a petite 28 ga. frames to give them proportion and balance found on no other production gun on the market.

In addition to their frame-specific construction, each gun is stocked in beautifully sculptured Turkish walnut with a straight English style grip and double triggers(Bobwhite) or conventional American pistol grip with a single trigger (Ringneck). Both are hand checkered 20 lines to the inch.

A side-by-side of perfect balance with beautiful wood mated to polished steel lacks only one element to make it a true classic – hand engraving. Both the Bobwhite and Ringneck side by sides feature hand engraving. These color case hardened shotguns are available in 12, 20 and 28ga with 5 screw in chokes in 12 and 20 ga. and fixed chokes of IC & Mod in .410.

Love this shotgun. I bought this for next season pheasant hunting, but will also use it for grouse and woodcock. I also have the 20 gauge Bobwhite and have been extremely happy with it. Can you get a fancier 16 gauge SxS? Of course, if you want to spend 3 or 4 thousand dollars or more. The steel receiver with bottom locking lugs is plenty strong and durable. I will shoot a limited number of clay rounds just to tune up for bird season. This gun is extremely well balanced and swings like a dream. It fit me to a tee and I can shoot lefty without stock bending. Have only shot backyard clay slings, but it is spot on if I shoot like I'm supposed to. Guess the bottom line is if you want an attractive, solid 16 gauge for hunting, and recreational shooting, you can't go wrong with this Ringneck. Good shooting everybody.

This gun made at in Turkey, and an old and US ally forged during the Korean War has been manufacturing guns for decades. In this case the Huglu (best pronounced who-loo) gun manufacturers that in actuality is a cooperative gun company, established in 1962 have been making hunting guns for a long time. Locally known as a poor mans hunting gun, the Huglu guns were always a good bet for those folks who could not afford the more expensive European imports of its day. Their reputation for many years has always been makers of fancy-free solid and durable guns of varying styles and gauges. I had a single 16 gauge made by the same company bought back in 1972. It was a simple but reliable single shotgun and fun to shoot. This Ringneck 16 gauge side by side, now distributed by CZ and made by the same folks from the town of Huglu for which the manufacturer is named is no less in quality, in fact better now than before and will do just well in many open fields for upland hunting enthusiasts like my self.
