Before I start, let me say that I realize this is a hundred-dollar gun and you get what you pay for. First of all, the description says if weighs 5.75 pounds. I don't have a scale handy but I don't think it weighs much over 2 pounds. It feels like a bb-gun. Definitely not 5.75 pounds. My ten-year old daughter shot two rounds and said something was wrong. I checked, and I noticed that the front-bead was gone. So the sight lasted only two rounds before flying off. I will get it replaced eventually. The gun patterns very well, which I was very surprised. Even with no front sight, we shot the gun for two days and were able to hit what we were aiming at. My daughter still likes the gun, probably because it's her first shotgun. Due to the very light weight, the gun kicks more than it should and it took my daughter a little getting used to. Now she's comfortable with it and that's all that matters to me. I'll fix the sight and take her rabbit/squirrel hunting in the fall. Like I said, it patterns surprisingly well with number 6 shot, 2 1/2" shells. Hope this helps. Over and out.

Overall a great gun but kids will grow out of it rather quickly so have a 28 gauge ready for them when you buy this. Recoil is good for children. I recommend adding a limb saver to all guns anyway. Fun gun & great for kids.
