I've had the rifle now for a few weeks and have a little over 100rds through it and so far so good. Once I got the optic sited in, I was shooting moa at 100yds and I'm only an average shooter. I really like the look of the Ruger AR platform style and all of the accessories that came with it make this a great deal for an upper end rifle. The recoil is very manageable and I found the trigger pull to be smooth despite other reviews claiming it is "gritty." I guess maybe if you're a competition shooter, but if you're a regular hunter and/or recreational shooter it's just fine. The rifle does have some weight to it compared to my direct impingement AR-15, but since this is a gas piston, you have to expect that. However you'll be rewarded for carrying around the extra weight when it comes time to clean it as take down and clean up can be done well under 15min without even trying.
One small item of concern is the rear site. On the first outing after about 20rds the rear site fell off. I figured it was just loose from the factory and took it home and tightened it back up. Unfortunately on my next outing, it came off again. The hex nut/bolt were not loose so I don't think lock-tite will do any good. I'll be contacting Ruger to get there thoughts on the matter and I'm sure they'll have me squared away in no time (I'm a long time Ruger customer and have always been highly impressed with their customer service).
Speaking of customer service, the service from Hinterland themselves was outstanding, I ordered the rifle on a Wed and they had it at my local gun shop by Saturday. I wasn't expecting it until the following week and it actually arrived before the optic I ordered to go along with the rifle.
Even with the rear site issue, I highly recommend this rifle and I highly recommend purchasing it from Hinterland for the best deal and great customer service.

Love this gun. Grip is well shaped and soft ,fits my hand very well. Gun has very nice weight, heavier in front which really helps keep the gun more repeatable when rapid firing. Flip up sights are very good quality and easy to use. Was not real impressed with the stock so I replaced it with a nicer magpul. The four position gas setting ability allows for consistent repeated firing of junk ammo all the way up to hot loads with no jams or ejection problems. Free float front guard fits and feels very good with my grip. I have shot a little over 500 rnds of 147 gr- 150 gr.mil spec. low load and max load ammo with no problems (load my own ammo). Gun is also very accurate at 100 yards, have not been able to shoot any thing of longer distance to date. Gun comes in a very nice soft case and magpul gen3 magazines are very good quality and affordable at 20.00 a pcs. Like I said, Love This Gun! If you're looking for a .308 in a AR platform, I highly recommend this gun by Ruger. Great price also for a gas piston operated rifle with all the chromed features and hammer forged barrel.
