Product Description

The SIG SAUER 1911 22LR Pistol

The SIG SAUER 1911-22 is built to the same dimensions as any other full-size 1911 pistol, except that it has a .22 LR (Long Rifle) caliber. With a light weight metal frame and slide, this 1911-22 features a low-profile three-dot sight, an ambidextrous thumb safety and a working grip safety. For many 1911 fans this 22LR version of the SIG 1911 is a perfect training tool, and fun for shooters of all ages. The SIG SAUER 1911 22 caliber is connected with the original design, but with an innovating concept. The measurements and existing design on the full size 1911 are kept the same. This defines as a development with Mil-Spec specifications in inches. Though, SIG added additional features as well. Magazine safety, drop safety, and firing pin safety are all designed to meet the safety standard of today. SIG SAUER wants all shooters to know that sport shooting without any compromises is assured.

Great pistol for inexpensive range time. Wish had 20 round mags. I trained my daughters on this and they did great. This firearm is like a big gentle horse. Light, easy to handle. Recoil for beginners is gentle but gets them ready for the feel of a larger caliber. Disassembling the firearm is a bit different than standard 1911's, but it is easy. Spring is light. Cleaning is easy. I highly recommend this firearm.

This pistol is made by the sister company of Sig which is ATI. The GSG 1911 and the Sig 1911 are basically the same gun. And both pistols are prone to guide rod breakage after a short period of time. If you purchase this 1911 you might as well contact Sig and have them send you one of their new guide rods. Other than that flaw the pistol is accurate enough and is more dependable than most of the 1911 22s out there right now. Magazines are more expensive and the GSG 1911 mags are cheaper and will function in the pistol.
