Sig Sauer P226: The most comfortable, reliable, accurate combat pistol you will ever wrap your mitts around. You will pass this down to your children and they will pass it down to theirs, who will someday praise grandpa for his fine taste in firearms.
I appreciate the de-cock feature, as it allows me to safely lower the hammer with a round in the chamber. In this condition, the 226 is like a DA revolver. They cost a bit more than Glock, M&P, or an XD, but in the end, you'll be glad you chose SIG.

Best Overall Gun I have ever owned. It is extremely accurate, reliable and very comfortable to shoot.
