I bought this SIG716 back in early April 2013. We shot this rifle along with its little brother, SIG516, and it shot great. My son and I put almost 600 rds through it from 100yds to all the way to 432yds, and it didn't fail at all. We used the Sig Sauer CP1 3X Prismatic Scope that came with it, and it reached the 432yds without any effort. What got me to choose this weapon was the LWRC REPR was unavailable for 7 months at the time. Understand this AR isn't cheap but then again, none of my ARs are cheap. So you get what you pay for. Even though it's a piston rifle, I still clean it like it was a Direct Impingement Gas rifle. It is nice to know that If I choose not to clean it it'll last longer than DGI out in the field.
This weapon is very reliable but it is a bit front heavy due to the quad rails. The stock is much different than the pic so if you go to the Sig Sauer website, you'll see the exact buttstock that's on my rifle. I've search high and low for an ambidextrous BAD lever but to no avail. I've checked with all the manufacturers of BAD Levers (ie, Magpul, Troy, Tactical Link and Phase 5 Tactical) and I could not find a company. Phase 5 might be the way to go if I break their weld and shift the lever 1 mm to the right so I may go that route. Some people says this rifle can't fire and so forth. Let me tell you this: Clean the rifle first with all the oil and the buffer springs. It's full of what looks like lithium grease. Once you do that the rifle will work and you won't be disappointed.
I highly recommend this rifle as well this sight. Hinterland Outfitters did great by me. I bought several rifles from them when there were no ARs to purchase back home so I have nothing but high remarks for this company. Brett is great guy who knows his stuff and you won't be disappointed.
If you decide to purchase this rifle, you'll have great time with it. Enjoy your 2nd Amendment!!

Love this gun, needed a 7.62 got this Sig 716. Firm believer in the Sig thought process.
"When it counts" very reliable product. Have four other Sig firearms rifles and handguns never had an issue with them. Will continue to buy Sigs till the day I die!
What can I say, Hinterland Outfitters 'THE BEST" I am really happy with my purchase from here.
Knowledgeable staff, promp delivery no problems with transfer. Simply the best! These statements come from a guy here in Los Angeles, CA.
