I purchased this pistol back in May of 2013 during the insanity when ammo and guns were difficult to find. I bought it then, not knowing if I would ever have another opportunity to buy it, given the potential damage that could have been caused by the gun grabbers in Washington. Unfortunately, I didn't purchase it from Hinterland, probably because it wasn't available at the time. I have had very good experiences with buying guns and ammo from Hinterland and they are my first source to go to for guns. So I paid $1,400 plus shipping at the time, which is much more than Hinterland's current price.
The gun is fun to shoot and is definitely very neat looking.
I have accessorized it with a Magpul Aluminum Enhanced Trigger Guard to allow for more room in the trigger area for when wearing gloves; Magpul Multi Nylon Sling, which is a necessity to enhance shooting by providing stability when holding the gun straight out; Picatinny Hand Guards for added comfort; and a UTG Quick Disconnect Foldable Fore Grip, which I quickly learned that the indoor gun range that I shoot at, would not allow me to shoot the gun with it because I did not have a $200 tax stamp. So I quickly replaced it with a Magpul AGF2TM Angled Fore Grip which works just fine for providing good stability.
The gun is front heavy and is tiresome to hold at arms length for any length of time to acquire the sights. The use of the Sling is a must for shooting other than from the hip. The sling allows you to rest your chin on the strap when the gun is held straight out in front, with the strap tight, thus allowing for a somewhat stable shooting stance.
The recommended method of sighting, with the red dot sight on top of the front sight post is difficult to position, especially when firing multiple shots rapidly.
I would recommend replacing the Sig Sauer Red Dot Sight with an Eotech XPS2-0 Sight or another quality sight for easier and faster sight acquisition.
Overall its a quality gun that is fun to shoot. I give it 4 stars because of the heavy weight up front and the difficulty in using the sights.

A beautiful weapon, as one expects from SIG. A special feeel and a special sound when charging.
Easily held, easily controlled (piston). Compact enough to cary about anywhere but still, a Rem 223 projectile.
Hinterland service was equally outstanding. First purchase on line, will do again without hesitation.
