Product Description

The Sig 556 features the same high performance two position adjustable gas piston operating rod system engineered by Sigs sister company Swiss Arms and marries it to a trigger housing that not only cuts the rifles weight by a pound but is designed to accept standard AR magazines. The Picatinny rail equipped receiver is made of high strength carbon steel with a durable wear resistant Nitron X rifle finish. The rifle comes equipped with a smooth two stage trigger. A 30 round magazine is supplied with each rifle.

Amazing rifle! Shoots great, folding buttstock is awesome too. Buying from Hinterlands was easy and this was the best price I could find online that had it in stock. Rifle is easy to clean, and very easy to field strip.

I recommend getting this only if you are looking for something different than an AR15. To be honest that is the main reason I got it, that and the reliability.

Pros: Easy to clean, accurate, unique style.

Cons:
Front Heavy(very much so!)
Expensive(in comparison to $800 ARs).

My set up: NCSTAR Mark 3 rifle scope with laser, Grip Pod LE.

I live in California where the gun laws are very strict. Hinterland helped me get this rifle met to California standards without any problem at all. Shipping was fast and they answered all the questions that i had. Great service from this site.

Being an ex marine I have shot many weapons of different calibers but I found that a 5.56 id the best for me. This rifle is a little on the heavy side but it is accurate and reliable. Very tight groups at 200 yards. The gas system is great and it is very affordable.

I saw this same rifle in a gun store out here for $500 more than listed on this site. Very satisfied with the rifle and hinterland. I will purchase all additional firearms from hinterland. Thanks guys!
