Received my pistol and am very satisfied with it. No malfunctions but you expect that from Sig. The one thing that was outstanding was the customer service and help that I received from Hinterland in acquiring the correct pistol.

SIG's absolute best piece of work yet! I own the P224, P226, P228, P229, P232 & P238, and I could not wait to get my hands on the P227 SAS. It is identical in size and weight to my P228, just as advertised. The recoil of this gun is extremely well managed. My P224, P226 and P229 are .40 caliber, and I honestly could not feel any significant difference in recoil between them and the .45 caliber P227. I know that feeling of recoil is always subjective from person to person, but I own a Springfield Loaded 1911, and the SIG just feels much smoother. I love my 1911 and the sharp, hard recoil that it produces with each shot and the SIG is nothing like it. In hindsight, I would not have bought the P224, P226 and P229 if this had been on the market sooner. I think this is the current pinnacle of SIG pistols, and if you are in the market, then this is the one to buy. I still love my SIG .380s for a light carry weapon, but the P227 is definitely a gun worth owning. If you don't own a SIG and are considering buying one, then I would recommend the P227 over all other models.
