The SIG SAUER P229 Enhanced Elite Handgun
The SIG SAUER P229 pistol has exceptional performance and durability backed by U.S. Government testing with over three million rounds. The P229 is dedicated to protect and serve, just as the people who carry it in their possession. Over time and time again the P229 compact-sized pistol has proved itself.
The SIG SAUER P229 Enhanced Elite model combines all the common features of the Elite series pistols with the ergonomic one piece reduced reach grips used in the SIG SAUER E2 pistols. Some of these features include the three different calibers of 357 SIG, 9 mm and 4. Smith & Wesson, a 15 round magazine for the 9 mm P229 version, a one-piece reduced reach ergonomic grip with an updated stippling pattern, a beavertail frame with front strap checkering and accessory rail, a slide with front strap checkering featuring ELITE engraving, the Short Reset Trigger System (SRT), the SIGLITE Night Sights, and two magazines.

Bought this firearm and shot 10 rounds thru it and the barrel along the sharp apexs just above the caliber stamping showed pitting and chatter marks. Called Sig and they sent me another barrel - not in blister pack but just wrapped up in paper and plastic. Manually cycled the slide and the same thing - chatter marks and gouges off of the sharp edges of the barrel. Called Sig again and asked to speak to a tech. Could not speak to a tech so asked for a consideration of them buying back the pistol - said someone would call me. Guess what - no call. Oh and by the way pistol shoots all over the place. Mr Cohen, president of Sig used to work for Kimber and from what I understand, no one will go near a Kimber. I don't know about Kimber but I will never go near a Sig again. You should Google "problems with Sig Sauer pistols." Oh and the life time warranty sounds great but think about it... you can't sell it to someone else because of that fact that even if the gun is defective they were not the original purchaser. Take a big hit on trade or reselling it.

Light weight. Great Velocity. Accurate. Easy Reload. Small and good for concealed carry. I have a S & W Precision Center 1911 APC .45 and I want to add this to my choices as a hunting sidearm.
