These magazines are S&W factory OEM, and therefore the qualilty that you'd expect them to be.

My only confusion was part of the product description which said "22 SHORT". The S&W M&P 15-22 only shoots .22LR ammunition. "Short" refers to the magazine length. You can also purchase "long" 10 round magazines.

These magazine are especially useful when teaching a young shooter. The standard capacity magazines are, in my opinion, too long for young shooters to manage easily. The 10 round magazines fit in their small hands better, making it simpler for them to concentrate on safe gun handling. They also have less difficulty loading these.

The short magazines are also useful when shooting from a prone position, or on a shooting bench, because they don't extend below the rifle nearly as far as the longer magazines.

Bought two of these to supplement the 10 round compliant long magazine that came with my 15-22. These short magazines are much easier to load than the long magazine. They come with the load assist buttons that the long 10 round magazine lack.

Both magazines worked perfect.
