I purchased one of the orginal Jeff Cooper Scout Rifles, what fun. It truly is the best all around rifle I have ever owned. Easy to carry in the mountains, the ching sling lets you sling up in less than a second to get steady and the extra magazine fits right in the butt stock.

I have taken a white tail at a full run from 75 yards, I could not have done it without the scout scopes Intermediate eye relief. I had a mountain meadow and a good ridge as a back stop and still can't believe I took out the heart with one shot.

The only bad thing about the old scout package was the transport case, glad they have upgraded to a pelican. If you can only own one rifle this is it.
