Smooth bolt, solid feel, VERY nice adjustable trigger, and incredibly accurate. I can't say enough good things about this rifle. I put mine in a Boyd's featherweight thumbhole (in pepper laminate…it's gorgeous) and I'm running a Leupold VX-6 3-18x scope. I haven't had it out yet for longer range coyote hunting, but have shot several boxes on my 160 yard range here at home, and it definitely performs. I have no need for another bolt action between this one and my others, but I find myself looking for an excuse to buy another Tikka. If you haven't read up about the T3, go do so before you buy a rifle…the reviews are incredibly positive, and for good reason.

What a great rifle - it's no wonder you rarely hear anyone say anything bad about Tikka rifles. Gun feels rock solid, trigger is phenomenal (like it as well as my Timney in a Remington 700), the stock is plenty rigid, bolt is silky smooth - feeding from magazine to chamber is effortless, and it's as accurate as anything I've fired. I shoot a lot, so that's saying something. Couldn't ask for more in a hunting bolt gun. I have a Remington 700 too. If I were buying another bolt gun, it would be a Tikka.
The only negative comment I've ever heard has been that people think plastic is cheap feeling. This stuff is clearly a strong, sturdy POLYMER (and remember, Glock pistol frames are made of POLYMER). There's nothing cheap feeling about this polymer, and I would expect it to withstand impact and shock much better than aluminum, which has less flexibility and is prone to cracking/breaking. Steel is too heavy, so I think Sako/Tikka made a wise decision using polymers for the trigger guard, magazine, etc.
