These chokes are extended, knurled, and have a black oxide finish. They will normally pattern better than flush mount chokes due to less shot deformation. They are manufactured from high strength 17-4 stainless steel. All precision hunter chokes are marked on the head with the degree of choke and on the body with the bore diameter. This style is an excellent choice for the shooter who wants one choke for both field and clay bird shooting.

I have the Trulock Black Skeet 1 Choke Tube, and several other Trulock tubes that fit my sporting clays shotgun. The choke tube gives me extremely uniform patterns from 20 to 35 yards, using #7-1/2, #8 and #8-1/2 lead shot. The uniformity of the pattern, and the lack of "holes" allows me to crush clay birds in both skeet and sporting clays competitions. While some Skeet Chokes lose pattern density out beyond 25 yards, the Trulock Choke does not. This gives me confidence on the sporting clays stations to leave the Skeet Choke tube in place, and not have to go to a tighter choke until the range gets out beyond 30-35 yards. I am currently buying a second Trulock Skeet 1 Choke tube for my over/under.
