Product Description

Walther PPS is short recoil operated, locked breech pistol that uses modified Browning type locking with tilting barrel. Frame of the gun is made from impact resistant polymer. Trigger is of double action only type, striker fired, with pre-cocked striker system, similar to QA system used in Walther P99 pistols. This system requires a manual recocking (by partial slide retraction) in the case of misfire. Gun is fitted with automated trigger safety and firing pin block; additional "storage type" safety is provided by removable backstrap of the grip; once backstrap is removed, the firing pin is automatically decocked and gun is blocked until the backstrap is reinstalled. This patented system is called QuickSafe by Walther. Sights are low profile, with rear sight adjustable for windage.

I've had and have carried this gun for about 3 years. Nice slim profile makes it an easy carry gun. I added a Limbsaver shock absorber to the grip which also made it a little easier to grip.

This is a great gun, only negative for me is the location of the mag release, which is incorporated into the trigger guard. It's a little hard to get used to, plus is it's almost impossible to accidentally drop a mag.

Overall I give this gun 4.5 stars, mag release is only negative and only slightly so. Very accurate shooter and very well made.

I got this firearm for Christmas and have run about two hundred rounds through it. It has never given me a misfire or failure to feed or eject. I love the trigger on this gun. It has a long pull (take up travel is what gives it such a long pull) but it breaks at about 5.5 ibs & is very smooth without any work or break in. The size is great for carrying & the weight is not to over the top.

This is my first Walther & I am very happy with it. I am going to get my wife a P-22 for her birthday. The feel is great also, it is a bit slim in the grip but a rubber grip take care of that. There is also a extra back strap (that comes with it) that is a bit bigger than the one it is shipped with but it doesn't help with the very thin grip, it only helps with the front to back thickness of the grip.

The mag is a single stack unit but, you can get it, (if doesn't come with it) with an eight round mag. Mine came with the 7 & 8 round mags. The extra long mags also give the length to fully grab the grip with large hands. Tear down is very easy also.

Overall so far I would give this firearm a resounding 5 out of 5. The only con I have is the boxy & chunky look of the pistol but it is a Walther after all & that would never outweigh the pros of the gun overall.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small carry 9mm & I would depend on it with my life.
