The Vanguard action incorporates a one piece fluted bolt with three gas ports and two locking lugs for a 90-degree bolt lift. The bolt shroud is fully enclosed for extra strength and structural integrity, and features a traditional side release of the bolt assembly. I own a Remington BDL 7MM, a Remington 30-06, and 2 50cal muzzle loaders. I have fired the Weatherby vanguard which belonged to my son.

His rifle was used and after just 3 rounds it was dead on target at 115 yards. I purchased the 7MM Rem Mag in the stainless setup and it is FANTASTIC wieth a very smooth action and quality workmanship.

You expect nothing less from Weatherby and I was not disappointed. I purchased the rifle from HINTERLAND OUTFITTERS sight unseen. I was a little worried without being able to physically seeing the rifle.

However when I received it the rifle, it was just as described and their communication with the customer is beyond any other that I have ever had.

I was kept informed of the shipping, the tracking number and the arrival. The price was just great and shipping was fantastic.

HINTERLAND is an asset to the hunter who does not have a large amount of money to spend on a great rifle. THANKS HINTERLAND and I WILL BE BACK for another rifle.
