Satin finish walnut stock, forged/machined steel receiver, blued finish, bottom ejection, silver bead sight, pump action
Some Things Never Go Out of Style
Like satin finish Walnut and deeply blued steel. It's been said that "no one blues a gun like Browning" - handle a BPS hunter at your local gun shop and you'll see what they mean. This gun embodies tradition and is built with quality that will be passed down for generations to come.
Pump-actions have long been lauded in the world of shotguns for their reliability and ability to cycle just about any load they are chambered for. The BPS stand head an shoulders above the rest with it's superior forged and machined steel receiver - combined with dual steel action bars, it has the strongest action of any pump gun on the market.
Also unique to the BPS is its bottom feed and ejection port. Shells are loaded and ejected from the bottom, leaving one less port for dirt and debri to enter the action. Likewise, a left handed shooter won't end up ejecting empty hulls into their face. Combined with the top tang safety, this gun is truly ambidextrous.

I have had my Browning BPS Hunter 20 gauge for nearly a year and I love this gun. The fit and finish are what I have expected from Browning based on past experience. The blued finish and the wood are nothing short of a work of art.
The only complaint I have is the factory choke constriction for the modified-labeled choke. The factory Modified choke has a constriction of .014 instead of the common .020. I purchased an aftermarket Trulock choke and that fixed my problem. The other two factory chokes were consistent with common constrictions with the IC measured at .010 and the Full measured at .028. Also, the balance, although decent, favors slightly toward the barrel end. This is not a huge deal for me, but may be for smaller-framed shooters. If you are purchasing for a younger shooter or one with a smaller frame, I would recommend the Browning BPS Micro Midas 20 gauge model.
Performance-wise, I have fired 2-3/4" target loads as well as 3" waterfowl loads out of this gun and it cycles all shells perfectly. I thought this gun was abut a half of a pound too heavy at first, but after shooting the bigger shells I realize this is by design. No matter what I am shooting, this gun is light kicking because of the 7 pound weight. Put of the box, my gun had a smooth action and it is only getting smoother with every shot. Bottom line, the Browning BPS Hunter 20 Gauge is an excellent shotgun that is of excellent value for a firearm of great quality. This shotgun will be handed down to many future generations and will stand the test of time.
