Misunderstandings abound when dealing with a PROFESSIONAL Quality pocket pistol such as this. SMOOTH Double Action Only (DAO) trigger designs are few and far between.
The idea of this pistol - is close quarters protection (7 yards being the often cited distance where accuracy should be tested and then within the realm of reason - such as holding a 1" - 1 1/2" group).
Weight lends itself to rapid follow up (Double-Tap type) shots as a result of superior materials being employed in manufacture and a delicate understanding of balance and ergonomics DURING ACTUAL USE.
There's NOTHING to remember with this gun...after you allow the slide to carry the first round into battery - and reload the magazine back to FULL-House capability. Carry the spare mag. too. If those 15 rounds won't do the trick - you should call the Seal Team Leader for immediate extraction!!!!
Seriously, in my family we rely upon both the K9 and K40 KAHR's for personal protection and night-time BY THE BED readiness.
Do we have a Revolver with Crimson Trace grips in the same drawer as each of our KAHR's....Yup......but that is the last ditch - weak-Hand option that we employ. Our K9 & K40 Night Sights are enough for me and my wife's defense.
As for weight......did you ever slam the doors shut on an OLD LINCOLN? That sound and feel of quality robust metal - being employed in the Right Place at the Right Time....is what these KAHR guns instill in me the moment they fill my hand. We also looked at the Kimber SOLO.....as a possible up-grade when they first came out....and STAYED WITH this model of KAHR. "Feel" is as subjective as beauty.....and this beauty FELT RIGHT to me the moment I picked it up and took a close look.
Thanks KAHR....keep up the good work!

First off, this is a heavy gun. I got this because I have small hands, and this was one of the few where I could pull the trigger easily rather than 'reaching' for it.
Accuracy suffers quite a bit at distance, more so than other guns I believe.
I had 3 different people shoot @ 25 yards and the bullets went all over the place. Nothing over 15 yards and you're probably okay. Second, this gun is a b*tch to clean.
It's not the cleaning itself, but the first step in doing so, which is move the slide back to remove the Slide Stop Pin.
Bing or Google it, and you'll find other fellow sufferers. People have talked of using pens and chopsticks to assist them.
Kahr now actually has a device that you can buy on their website just to help you with this process. That tells you a lot. I can shoot for 1 hour, & then clean for 2.
Pros: Small, good CCW. Night sights are cool.
Cons: Heavy; inaccurate at distance; difficult to maintain.
