Great .22 for a great price, more accurate than the 10/22, cycles much better than any magazine fed due to less spring tension from the tube, is consistent with every type of ammo I have ever put through it (even the $1 Remington boxes that you can move the bullet with your hand), lighter trigger than my savage 64, more accurate than my Remington 597, Solid reliable rifle that I have had since I was 8 years old and will pass down to my children.

The model 60 is a reliable, accurate, and ammo-cooperative firearm. With bulk federal, I had 1" groups at 50 yds easily. I recommend getting a speedloader for reloading. It saves time and effort. It's great not having to rely on external magazines. Oh, and micro-groove.
Yes, it's not just a gimmick, it's great for the 22lr cartridge. Lightweight, built well, proven, and yes, again, reliable. Will hand down to my sons, with that, I'm certain.
