This practical accessory can really dress up any plain barreled (without vent rib) Mossberg shotgun. Choose Blued, Parkerized or Marinecote with mounting instructions. Fits standard 500 and 590 12 Ga. models only. Considering that one gun does not fit all shooters, Mossberg designed this new "system" of stock drop spacers.

My 590 Special Purpose and 500 Cruiser pistol grip models came equipped with this heat shield and it works so well that I bought one for my 500A model. Now, I'm buying one for another recently acquired 500 Cruiser model. It really does help dissipate heat from the barrel and protect the shooter from burns when putting a lot of rounds through in rapid succession. Flawless factory fit and finish. Worth every penny.
