The Remington 552 Speedmaster has a combined richly blue carbon steel barrel with a stock of generously checkered, high gloss American walnut. Other features include adjustable big game sights, tubular magazine feed, positive cross bolt safety and grooved receiver for scope mounts. Will chamber 22 short, 22 long and 22 long rifle cartridges.

These are the best 22 rifles you can buy hands down. I have one that was my dads and after about 20000 rounds I had to replace the firing pin. Never fails to feed or jams with any brand of ammo and including 22 shorts.

I have owned Rugers and Marlins both. But when i need a 22 i can rely on i grab the speedmaster. I found a secondhand one that is much newer and it is as good as my old one when it comes to reliability.

And to top it off anyone familiar with an 870 or model 7600 will feel at home when they hold it .
