Hinterland was super. Notified me when it became available, had a very competitive price, shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition.
The gun is great. Sort of old school, looking of the 60-70's vintage. There aren't many new Wingmasters around, but as always, they shoot great and cycle smooth and flawlessly. Excellent fit and finish. Far superior to the 870 express (of course you pay for it) and you don't have to spend time with steel wool smoothing out the action. The express barrel is a bit like a lead pipe also.
To me the gun is light for a 12 ga., handles very quick with natural pointability as I shot 15/16 on the some difficult skeet first time out. Because it is pretty light (6.75#), it has a little punch. One would probably want to lighted the load on a dove field or clays. I imagine this would be an excellent pheasant gun or for anyone else with a bum shoulder like me.
Very happy. Thank you Hinterland.
