I purchased the rifle in the morning, one hour later my FFL sent them the required info, and two hours later it was shipped!
How can you improve on that! These folks get my firearm purchases from now on. The rifle arrived in perfect shape. Great price when no one else had one. Great customer service! Thank you!

Follow up review. After coaxing Savage to cooperate a little, and finally replacing the factory aluminium E, I changed the picatinny rail to a M P machined stainless steel rail and the rifle was now ready to roll.
It printed a 1 1/4" group at 300yards (sub 1/2 MOA) with a developed handload of a 300grain VLD Hybrid- N170 powder-Lapua cases- and 215M primers.
Granted, the rifle only had the break-in rounds sent through previously,current velocities and powder charge will be increased and I suspect the group will close in even more.
Very light for a 338 Lapua but so is my SAKO TRG. This platform is definitely a keeper.

Just took delivery of the rifle. Fit and finish were superb. However, just a minor detail. The scope rail appeared to be 'floating' over the action. Once removed and re-installed, the rail fit perfectly onto the action with no other apparent issues. The Badger O rings and Sightron scope installed fine.
Have not evaluated its performance yet. Will generate another review at a later date. As for the staff at Hinterland, they continue to go above and beyond to satisfy their customers, this is my 3rd rifle purchase from them and there will be future purchases.
I give the rifle 4 1/2 stars due to the oversight of the improperly installed rail on Savage's end but 5 go to Hinterland for their continued service.
