This was my first pistol. Absolutely flawless. It does take some round counts for it to work smoother but it is just like a Glock 19. Love it!

I absolutely love this gun. I have only run a few rounds (about 25) through it with no problem. This is very similar in my opinion to the Glock 17'sTM that I have trained on. The take down is the exact same and cleaning is a breeze. The SD9 even has a trigger safety although it is a little different from the G17. On top of the trigger safety the trigger pull is a bit heavy coming in at approx 8.8lbs. There are kits that you can buy to reduce the weight of the trigger pull to about 5.5lbs. The grips, while good, were just a little too smooth for me so I bought some slip on hogue grips to improve my grip. Just make sure that when you are ordering a holster for the gun that it is the right model. I recommend calling Smith and Wesson to ask.
Pros: Very light, Tetured grooves along the frame to encourage fingers off the trigger, 16 round and 10 round magazines, sights adjustable for windage, Rail system for accessories, very comfortable, chamber check on top of the slide.
Cons: Difficult to find accessories for (I.E SERPA holsters), expensive magazines $30-$42 per, weak trigger reset.
Overall: Great gun for the price.
