The HK USP is the first HK pistol designed especially for American shooters. Features favored by U.S. law enforcement and military users provided the design criteria for the USP. The controls are uniquely influenced by such famous designs as the Government model 1911 pistol. All USPs use a fiber reinforced polymer frame stiffened by stainless steel inserts at areas subject to stress and friction. The USP tactical is built for a rugged, dependable lifetime of service.

I have shot and or owned tons of different pistols including a Desert Eagle .50, Tarus .44 Spl Revolver, .480 Super Red Hawk, Glock 30 .45, Ruger SR-9 9mm, Baby Eagle .40, Kel Tech .32, FNH 5.7, along with a boat load more but by far the H&K USP has been the best and my favorite.

The Glock 30 was a little better for concealed carry due to size but as for overall performance, like ability, reliability, and safety I would choose no other gun than the H&K USP or a H&K product.
