I personally own this pistol and it is the only .45 ACP handgun I have. The gun is awesome I love the look and the accuracy, I have never had any function problems.
The rear adjustable sight works great for sighting into your eye offset. You can make corrections if you are right hand dominant and left eye dominant, like myself.
People can spend more money on a custom pistol, i.e. Ed Brown, Wilson Combat and all the others, but this will compete on that same level of smooth function and reliability. They make a 12 round magazine for this gun and I recommend getting them.
