Extremely accurate rifle. Getting 3shot groups the size of a dime at 100 yds. 1 to 1 1/8 inch groups at 200 yds. One thing I don't like is I tried to adjust the trigger pull and broke the Allen wrench, cannot get the adjustment screw to move. Another thing is if you do your own reloading, you cannot seat your bullets close to the lands or they will not fit in the magazine. You'll have to shoot them like a single shot rifle.

I finally got to the range with my new Venture the other day. The service at Hinterland was great, and the gun showed up in just over a week at my local gun shop. Mine is a .280 Remington. The gun is well balanced and the stock has a good feel. The recoil pad does a good job of soaking up the kick. I topped it off with a Nikon Monarch, 2.5 to 10 power. Thompson isn't kidding about minute of angle accuracy. I've barely started to work up loads for it, and the groups are amazing. I was shooting 140 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips, in Remington brass, with federal primers and IMR4350 powder, with loads ranging from 50.5 to 52 grains in .5 increments. 51.5 shot the best, but all of the loads shot really well. The best group put 5 shots in about 3/4" overall with three of the rounds in one ragged hole. One of the other groups (51gr.) came in at just under an inch with two of the bullets sharing the same hole so closely that it's hard to tell a second bullet hit there. One of the other groups had 4 holes touching each other for a group of about an inch. All in all I'm thrilled with my Venture, and I can't wait to see what it does when I really get it dialed in!
