You cannot go wrong with this gun for the money and as such I give it the 5 star rating! It is as advertised and is a well made very solid revolver. You won't have to worry much about recoil due to the fact this is a fairly heavy revolver. I have made it my night stand guardian:). By the way, barrel is actually about 2.25"

This is a good solid gun made in Germany. Shoots straight and not that heavy. No sting in hand with .38 +P or .357 Mag. Grips are great. The push pin in the open cylinder actually pops the fired rounds out like it is supposed to. 6 rounds instead of 5. R.

My wife and I teach an NRA Basic Pistol class. We have a lot of first time shooters who take the class and want to qualify with a .38 or .357. So we bought a Windicator .357.
This is an easy gun to shoot accurately. With a lot of the modern, teeny-tiny .38's, our students have a hard time qualifying at the range--the recoil on the little guns is too much, even with .38 caliber.
The Windicator, on the other hand, is well-balanced and easy for a first-timer to shoot. It's kind of a meat and potatoes sort of gun. Not very fancy and heavier than is fashionable today.
But it gets shot hard in our class and our students like it. And I like it when they can qualify quickly and without too much pain.
