I tried these after getting great patterns with 12 ga. Remington 3 1/2" Sportsman #2 shot. These didn't pattern as well but gave usable patterns that were better than the patterns I get with 3 1/2" BB ammo at 1550fps. The gun used is a Winchester Super x2 and best choke tried was Carlson Improved modified sporting clays extended. I tried all chokes but full as it was recomended against for Hypersonic ammo. All chokes put pellets on target even Improved cylinder. My patterning was with what I had some 24" wide by 30" boxes at 50 yards. I got 100 hits for 59%. My Remington Sportsman 12 ga. 3 1/2" BB at 1550 fps gave 65 hits for 65% at the same range and target. Both will penetrate a goose to 65 or a little more yards so the Hypersonic had less holes in the pattern and was also more forgiving as the hypersonics throw a wide swath compared to slower speed loads so if I'm off a little on my lead I still have a chance. The BB load stayed together tighter. The Hypersonic #2s put more pellets on target at a higher speed with smaller surface area so they penetrate better. Recoil should be mentioned. This is the hardest kicking ammo you will likely ever shoot. They sound like a high powered rifle when they go off. They are so strong I will bet you will take your gun all apart like I did after shooting them just make sure I didn't bust anything. I didn't bust anything. I had shot 3" hypersonics pryor and liked them in #4shot. The 3" kick more than competitors 3 1/2" ammo but nothing scary. The 3 1/2' kicks more than a elephant rifle. 2 1/4 oz. turkey loads are kid stuff compared to these. You won't notice the recoil while shooting at a honker but patterning you will feel it. I recomend these cause I think this load is probably the most effective steel 60+ yard goose slayer.
