At just 22 years old, Samuel Colt's creation of the six-shot Colt revolver stands as one of the greatest inventions of the nineteenth century. In 1836, the first Colt revolvers were made in Paterson, New Jersey, at the Colt Arms Company. Two years later, the famous Texas Pistol was put on the market. The tactical texture of the pistol remains rearward with cut checkering on the front strap of the frame. The checkering continues on the straight mainspring cover, contributing to a protected embrace when gripping the cover. The grips are constructed for solid, all-conditions handling, and the cohesive grip safety has a beavertail that curves up high for maximum grip depth, and a memory bump to ensure firm, confident engagement.

The controls offer quality performance with a smooth and clean magazine release. The slide stop/release is depressed into the frame of the handgun for an improved thumbs-forward grip, and the trigger guard is undercut, allowing for a firmer upper top grip. The rear sight is low-profile with a V-shape, and the front sight is a night sight dot complemented with a white ring.

The hammer limb is sleek, and the front of the slide has cocking grooves for ease of grip performance, making this handgun comfortable so that you can focus on accuracy.

The Colt New Frontier Revolver

The Colt New Frontier is the classic six-shot, 2-inch snub-nosed revolver constructed of stainless steel. Chambered in .38 Special, this double-action revolver sports a 2-inch barrel, making it the perfect “conceal and carry” option. This handgun features a strong, stainless-steel frame with matte finish and a Hogue Overmolded grip for easy handling. The trigger pull is crisp and smooth, with an enlarged trigger guard for a relaxed feel. The front sight is a red fiber optic with a rear V-type groove manufactured within the frame.
