General Ammo Restrictions

Federal law requires that you must be at least 18 years old to purchase shotgun ammunition and 21 years or older to purchase pistol and rifle ammunition.

• You do not need an FFL to purchase ammunition online.
• All ammunition will be shipped by ground. Ammo cannot be shipped air, by law.
• We can ship ammunition to your door in non-restricted states.
• For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on ammunition.
• Always make sure you use the correct ammunition for your specific firearm.
• Check your local laws for any other regulations before ordering.

Hinterland Outfitters is a licensed FFL dealer. In accordance with federal and state law, we cannot ship a firearm directly to an individual or to a location that does not hold an FFL (Federal Firearms License). We can only ship firearms to another licensed gun dealer within the United States - this can be your local gun shop, pawn shop, sporting goods store, etc. The receiving gun dealer then handles the transfer of the firearm to you.

All firearms will be shipped by default to the premise address on the FFL license unless the dealer requests that it be shipped to the mailing address. All licenses will be validated through FFL EZ Check and must match exactly to avoid delays and cancellation.
