The original PowerBelt Bullet was the Pure Lead, and it's still a great choice for the economy-minded shooter, whether for hunting or just target shooting. Available in four different grain weights (295, 348 and 405 in the Hollow Points, and 444 in the Flat Point), PowerBelt Pure Lead bullets will get the job done with authority. and in states where copper plated bullets are not allowed, PowerBelt Pure Leads are the highest tech, best performing bullets you can shoot and still be legal!

The CVA 245 grain Aero Tip Powerbelt bullet is the best I've found and the most accurate bullet fired out of my CVA Optima .50 caliber rifle. At 125 yards and a powder load of 105 grains of American Pioneer FFG, it will hold a 3 shot group of .750 inch. The last deer I took, was at 90 yards in fairly high brush and went about 40 feet before it dropped. The expanded bullet retained about 90% of the original weight. I highly recommend this bullet for anyone shooting black powder rifles and hunting game from hogs to elk sized deer at moderate ranges. Actually, it would also be a good choice for competition out to 200 yards. My rifle has fiber optic open sights and is zeroed at 120 yards.
