AXSR

The Accuracy International AXSR is the company’s flagship rifle platform and the next generation of the AX rifle system.

The Accuracy International AXSR is the commercial version of the rifle that was developed for the Advanced Sniper Rifle (ASR) contract for USSOCOM. The contract provided an exhaustive list of specifications, requirements, and test that the rifle must endure to be considered for the contract. AI engineers along with a team of high respected, third-party engineering firm designed and tested the AXSR rifle to make sure it will continue to fire after being buried in mud or filled with sand. That it will function after being subjected to -40F temperatures, or be exposed to corrosive salt water for extended periods of time.

Like its predecessor, the AXMC; this rifle system is a multi-caliber platform designed to be configured at the user level. The AXSR is designed to be quickly converted in the field by removing the barrel with a 4mm hex key, changing the bolt body and selecting the appreciate magazine. Caliber conversion on the rifle have been perfected using the new QUICKLOC barrel release housing that is located in the lower-right side of the action, requiring 49 inch lbs. of torque when installing a new barrel. Bolt bodies can be changed without tools while utilizing the original Shroud and Firing Pin Assembly. Conversions can be made between long and short action calibers.

The AI AXSR is offered in a 338 Lapua Magnum, 338 Norma Magnum, 300 Norma Magnum, 300 Winchester Magnum and 300 PRC.

The rifle sits in a fully adjustable side folding (bolt-side) chassis with a one-piece forend featuring an integral picatinny rail and keyslot. The length of pull and cheek piece are adjusted with a level system design, while the butt pad can be raised, lowered, and rotated with a thumbwheel adjustment. The barrel is a single-point, cut-rifled, match-grade in Accuracy International’s custom contour offering pinpoint accuracy.
